Evelyn Louise Morash

MORASH, Evelyn Louise – Passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018 at the QEII Halifax. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Lulu (MacKinnon) Kent. Evelyn grew up in Ostrea Lake on the Eastern Shore, N.S. She moved to Dartmouth after graduating Nursing School. She devoted herself to raising a family and serving her community through the UCW of Woodlawn United Church. She was a loving mother to her four boys and three grandchildren. Evelyn had many hobbies and loved her crafts. Christmas ornaments to wedding cakes, calligraphy to square dancing, no matter what she was doing it was always done with skill and lots of love. Evelyn always served her community by baking countless pies and desserts for many receptions and dinners held at her church. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Lorne Morash, sons; Gregory (Stacy), Michael, Stephen, Scott (Sherry), grandchildren; Kimberlyn MacKenzie, Saskatchewan, Samantha Morash-King and Jeffery Morash, both of Dartmouth, brother, Lloyd (Helen deceased), Theodore (Beverly), Carl (Vivian), many nieces and nephews. She was loved by all. Visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday, April 23, with a Celebration of Life Service at 2pm Wednesday, April 25, both in Woodlawn United Church, 54 Woodlawn Road. Rev. Mary Lynne Whyte and Rev. Phillip Kennedy will be officiating. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association in memory of Evelyn.
