Edwin John Muir

Muir, Edwin John – 64 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2016 in the Dartmouth General Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Ed and Irene (Sullivan) Muir. Ed was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Somme Branch 31. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Montreal Canadiens as well as collecting Memorabilia. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Sharon, step-son; Michael (Michelle), Timberlea, his three Princesses; Kaitlin, Annamarie and Kaylee, sister; Debbie (Gary) Parks, nephew; Shawn (Christina) Parks. He was predeceased by a sister in infancy. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street from 7 – 9 pm with a Legion service at 7pm. Celebration of Life Service will take place on Wednesday at 2 pm in Holy Trinity Emmanuel Church, 30 Alfred St. Rev. Kees Zwanenburg officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. No flowers by request, donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
