Edith Burns

Burns, Edith Elizabeth, of Dartmouth/ Falmouth, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 23, 2014 at Windsor Elms Village, in the presence of her family. She was born in Dartmouth August 20, 1922, the daughter of the late Herbert and Lily (Tufts) Collings. She is survived by her husband Lewis Edward (Ted) Burns, Ellershouse, children Rodney (Celia), Ellershouse, Christine (Donald) Barkhouse, Moncton and Bonnie (Peter) Cameron, Thompson Station, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She is survived by one brother Murray (Jeanette) Collings, Dartmouth, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters Lily (in infancy) and Doris Weare, her brothers John, Bernard and Arthur, son- in- law Alvin Randall. Visiting Friday, June 27, 2014, 6-9pm, Funeral Service 11am Saturday June 28, 2014 all in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St. Dartmouth. Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
