Thornton, Dennis Sherman – 77, of Dartmouth, passed away on January 6, 2014 at home. He was the son of the late Frederick and Sadie (Verge) Thorton. He is survived by a son James (Angela), daughter Geraldine (Alan) Keeping; sisters Elva, Elnora and Florence; grandchildren Brittany, Damian and Nicholas; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Frederick, Leonard and Ypres; sisters Ola and Irene. Visitation will take place from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday February 19, 2015 with a Legion service at 7 pm. There will be a memorial service at 11 am Friday in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
