David Paul Morash

MORASH, David Paul – 65, of Meaghers Grant. David passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2022. The son of Paul and Shirley Morash of Dartmouth, David is survived by his Mother, Shirley, his sister, Sandra Preeper and his Brother-in-Law, Jim Preeper, all of Dartmouth. While he grew up in Dartmouth, Dave moved to Meagher’s Grant 40 years ago and embraced this community. He always had a deep connection with the natural world and being in it through all of its seasons. He owned and operated Meagher’s Grant Canoe Rentals and Shuttle for almost 30 years and this gave him the opportunity to share this love with his many friends and customers who often became friends. A bit of a recluse at times, he was always there to offer safety and a helping hand to those around him. He also rescued many animals including his precious cat, Spazz, who will miss him more than us all. He worked at Scotsburn Co-operative Dairy for 40 years in many roles. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be planned for a later date.
