Clive Henry Bishop

On November the 6th, 2023 Clive Henry Bishop, aged 78, passed away in his sleep after a battle with respiratory illness.

Clive was born July the 3rd, 1945, to Henry and Florence Bishop, in Isleworth UK. He grew up primarily in Teddington and had a happy childhood of which he always spoke fondly. He had one late brother, Colin Bishop.

In 1985 he met Donna Marie Bishop née Draper in Antigua. After corresponding by lettermail and telephone, they were married on November 1st, 1986, and Clive immigrated to Canada therein. They had two daughters together, Kathryn Marie Bishop and Olivia Florence Bishop, and remained married for 35 years until Donna's untimely passing in 2022. She had kept every letter from Clive for all that time.

Clive served 10 years in the Royal Navy before being discharged due to injury. He worked a great many jobs from the time he was a boy until his retirement, from a paper route to lifeguarding at the Twickenham lido, an engineer in the royal navy, a bank teller, a salesman, a prison guard, a professional santa. He had numerous passions including music being both an avid listener and a musician himself. He played the guitar, piano, trumpet, and harmonica. He was a devoted football fan and enjoyed playing and coaching games in his free time.

Clive is survived by his two daughters, with whom he spent his last hours. They will remember him always.

His final remains will be given to the atlantic ocean that meets the lands he called home.
