RILEY, Clarence Edward – Age 83, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 24, 2019, in Admiral Long Term Care Facility, Dartmouth. Born in Lake Loon, on March 11, 1936, he was a son of the late Howard and Kathleen (Beals) Riley. Clarence was a member of Lucasville United Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Men's Brotherhood. He served in the past as a volunteer firefighter. Over the years, he worked for Dunphy Brothers Excavation, Scotia Stadium, and Cole Harbor Place as an Ice Maker Technician, retiring from same in 1998. During his younger years, Clarence enjoyed bowling, skating, camping and traveling. He loved to sing and play the guitar. In later years you could find him building a shed or picnic table, or tinkering with a new tool purchased from Canadian Tire. He is survived by his wife, Irma (Oliver); son, Clifton, (Tiffany); stepdaughter, Twila, grandchildren, Tyrone (Jennifer), Candace, Alayah; step grandchildren, Timothy, David, Twila (Dominique), Shoncy; great-grandchildren, Ty'kiah, Tianna, Isiah, Josiah; step great-granddaughters, Alyvia, Charlie; brother, Howard Jr. (Evelyn); sisters, Joan, Gloria (Wayne); sister-in-law, Laura; godchildren, Thomas Riley (Frances), Martin Clayton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marie (Clayton), daughter, Shendi, son, Glendon and grandson, Quentin; sisters, Rosella, Daisy (Byrl) Bundy; brothers, Percy (Leota), Melvin.
