CLYKE, Barry James — 58, Eastern Passage, formerly of Guysborough, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2010, with his loving wife by his side. Barry worked for many years as a heavy duty mechanic for Thompson's Transfer and Metro Mechanical. He also owned and operated his own business. Barry was a devoted Christian who kept his faith until the end. He was a deacon of Victoria Road Baptist Church, choir member, President of the Men's Brotherhood and trustee chair person. Barry was a gentle, kind, caring family man who enjoyed golfing, bowling, singing, playing guitar, writing poetry and baking. He was a generous man with a great sense of humour who adored his grandchildren and loved to attend their sporting events. Barry was a son of the late James and Bessie (Skinner) Clyke. Predeceased by sister, Patricia. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Margaret (Borden); daughters, Jennifer (Coy), Erin (Arlington) Smith; loving grandchildren, Samara, Jordan, Dakota, Coretaya, Coyleasha and Coyawna; brothers, Cyril (Fuddy), Ontario; Wayne (Yvonne); and sister, Debbie, Bible Hill; extended family, Aunt Elsie, Bobby, Winnie and Diane, Montreal; and Rhonda, Hammonds Plains. Godchildren, Shayla, Terrell and Julie-Anne. Laymen's service tonight at 7 p.m., Funeral service Monday at 1 p.m., followed by repast, all held in Victoria Road United Baptist Church, Rev.
