Jackson, Avery Lorne – 79, of Dartmouth, passed away August 16, 2014 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Avery Rand and Irene Amy (Bond) Jackson. He was employed with the Chronicle Herald for 14 years. He was a member of the Dartmouth Curling Club for over 50 years and a chartered member of the Nova Scotia Salmon Association. He is survived by numerous cousins. Thank you to Cora’s Guest Home and staff for their care over the last 11 years. Visitation will be held Friday, August 22, from 2 – 5pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home 217 Portland Street. A funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, August 23, in St. Albans Anglican Church, 345 Pleasant St. Rev. Frances Drolet-Smith officiating.
