Kenneth W. Allen

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late William S. Jr. and Helen (Pike) Allen, he was a life-long resident of South Dartmouth.

Mr. Allen was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII. He worked as an Electrician at King and Co. for several years before becoming the owner for many years and finally retiring in 1987.

He was a member of the Quittacs Lodge AF & AM of Mason, a member of the Escort Destroyer Association and a former member of the New Bedford Master Electrician Association. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing golf, collecting antique vehicles, and dining with his friends and family.

He is survived by his brother George E. Allen of San Diego, California; several nieces and nephews and his devoted friends and neighbors Nelson and Maria Carreiro and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 10:30 AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN Home of Memorial Tribute, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Burial with Military Honors will follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours, Monday 6-8 PM.
