Gloria D. Perry, 88, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on August 12, 2011 at The Oaks Nursing Center of New Bedford following a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Jules and Rosa (DeCosta) LaRange. She was the widow of Antone Perry and mother of the late Judith Deneault.
She was born and educated on Martha’s Vineyard and resided there until moving with her family to New Bedford in 1957. She and her family continued to spend summers on the island where she and her husband owned and managed a small motel business. A few years after the death of her husband, she sold the business and moved to Dartmouth.
Survivors include a son, John Perry of Fairhaven; a daughter Joyce Mosher and her husband Scott of Dartmouth; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and several nieces and their extended families.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling, playing cards and scrabble. She also enjoyed traveling. Her most memorable destinations were Alaska, Portugal and Russia.
