She was the wife of the late Harry A. Morris, Jr.
Born in E. Providence, RI, Mrs. Morris wintered in Honolulu and summered in South Dartmouth.
She had been employed as the secretary to the Director of the Department of Employment Security for the State of Rhode Island.
Ellen was a talented violin and organ player. She loved trips to Foxwoods with her daughter Karen and enjoyed spending time at the beach in Honolulu with her daughter Dolores. She was an active member of the Hawaii Kai Baptist Church and the Hawaii Kai Senior Citizens Group.
Her family includes two daughters, Dolores E. McDaniel of Honolulu and Karen E. Tavares and her husband Ralph of South Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Dina L. Davis, Everett S. McDaniel, Jr., Michael McDaniel, Amber E. Chaves and Ralph Tavares, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Spencer, Shelby, Savannah and Willow McDaniel, Meagan and Corey Davis, Casen and Caleb Chaves. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Everett S. McDaniel, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 4-8pm with a brief service at 6 PM at the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth.
