David W. Andrew

David W. Andrew, 66, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Susie (Seifer) Andrew to whom he had been married for 37 years.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Clifford and Theresa (Branchini) Andrew, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. David was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He was the proud owner/operator of Custom Designs, prior to his retirement.

David loved spending time with his sons, coaching their youth baseball and basketball games and years later, nearly beating them in golf on many occasions. He was an avid bird watcher, earning the nick-name “Birdman”. Among his many other talents and interests, he enjoyed sailing, skiing, traveling, tinkering, and especially going out to breakfast with family and friends. His energy and laughter was contagious and he was always the life of the party. He selflessly found joy in ensuring the success and happiness of those around him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Matthew Andrew of New Bedford, Nathan Andrew and his companion Karissa Cruz of Bedford, Ryan Andrew and his wife Asia of Woburn; two sisters, Nancy Barrett and her husband Kevin of Dartmouth and Joyce LeBlanc and her husband Mark of Wareham; numerous nieces and nephews; his best friend, Christopher Lowrie of New Bedford; and his beloved dog, Abby. He was the brother of the late Linda Andrew.

David’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth.
