Yvette was born on January 3, 1969 in Bronx, New York, and then moved to Danbury with her family in 1975. She was employed at Danbury Health Care Center formerly known as Mediplex for approximately 25 years. Yvette was instrumental in getting union representation at the facility and remained a union representative until she left due to her illness in 2008.
Yvette loved life. Her determination, boundless strength and her beautiful smile were a source of inspiration to all who met her even until her last day. She was a good friend, who always found the good in people, and was eager to help anyone in any situation.
When Yvette was seen around town she was always in the company of her loyal companion 'Lizzy' also known as 'Wolfy'. Yvette would state 'My Love, Love' to her over protective german shepherd.
Yvette is survived by her mother Maria Lopez, grandmother Minerva Pavia, stepson Darrin Baylock, sister Yolanda Lopez, brother Vincent John Lopez , niece Jazmyn Marie Lopez-Gay, uncle Raul Pavia and loving friends. Yvette will be loved and missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday November 9th in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 thru 8pm
