Walter George Hill, of Bethel, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, in his home with his family by his side. Mr. Hill was born in Greig, NY on Jan. 10, 1927, to the late Ceyril Hill and late Amy M. Northrup. He is pre-deceased by brothers, Millard Hill, Maynard Hill, Lewis Hill, Alton Hill and one sister, Adele Bush.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife Carol Broadhurst Hill, of Bethel and their children, Valerie Mulvey Bradshaw, of Bethel, Tracy Mulvey Haddad, of Bethel, and Walter “JR” Hill, of Bethel. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Peter Bradshaw and Kaitlin Bradshaw, both of Bethel, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was a World War II Army veteran who served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a stagecoach driver for the Danbury Fair for over 25 years and had a passion for horses and woodworking. He loved watching UCONN “ladies” Huskies basketball and old western movies. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Calling hours are Monday, June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., funeral services to follow on Tuesday, June, 12 at 11 a.m., both at Green Funeral Home in Danbury.
