Thomas J. Lynch (Moose) passed away suddenly on April 7, 2017 at Backus Hospital. Tom was born to Anthony and Jean Lynch on March 19, 1955, in Danbury, CT. Tom graduated from Sacred Heart University in 1977 with a bachelors in Business Management and a minor in Psychology. Tom was a firefighter for the Danbury Fire Department for almost 30 years. In addition to his many years at the Danbury fire department Tom also was an avid softball player who enjoyed playing both locally and nationally with his family in the stands. Tom was very passionate about both the fire department and softball receiving numerous awards and accolades. Most importantly Tom’s greatest joy was time spent with family and friends from gatherings, to cruises, to time spent at the casino, Tom simply enjoyed life.
Tom is predeceased by his parents, and his sister Deborah Fako. Tom is survived by his loving wife Christie (LaReau) Lynch, his son Jason LaReau his wife Kelly, and their children, Trevor, Vanessa, and Jason Jr. Tom will be greatly missed by all family and friends who had the pleasure of knowing what a gentle giant he truly was, “Moose”.
Family and friends are encouraged to call The Green Funeral Home on Monday April 10, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for visitation. A memorial mass will take place at St. Joseph Church, Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 10:00 am.
