He was born on July 19, 1945 in Danbury, CT to James and Joan Clarkson.
Tom was an immensely proud family man. He will be missed by his wife, Pam Clarkson, of 59 years. In addition to his wife, Tom was survived by his three children: Tommy (Casey); Timmy; and Carrie (John Stritzl); his eight grandchildren: Matt, Jeffrey, Catie, Finley, Harper, Owen, Kayleigh, and Brynn, and his great grandson, Jackson. He will also be missed by his sisters: Joy Clarkson, Jan (Pete Pacific), and Terri (Charlie Read) and his many nieces and nephews.
Tom was a friend to all. He was an avid athlete who enjoyed basketball, fishing, golf, camping, and taking care of his lawn. During his many dedicated years at the War Memorial in Danbury, Tom always had a story, fist bump, thumbs up, or smile to share. He enjoyed playing Men’s Golf at the Candlewood Lake Club and taking his grandkids for golf cart rides. He adored his grandkids and gave each one a special nickname. They were his greatest joy.
At this time, no services will be held.
