I am so sorry that I just found out about their passing. I would have certainly been at the funeral.  I was blessed to have them as  in-laws, and could not thank them enough for all they did for me and Sean. Some of my fondest memories were Trivial pursuit after dinner, Dottie's hamburgers in the toaster oven on Sundays, and Bob's dry wit. Never quite sure if I should laugh or not ! I enjoyed my visits with Dottie at John Paul, even though there were days she did not remember me. My sympathy to their family and friends.

May God welcome Dot and Bob into his Kingdom. So many memories of my aunt Dot and Uncle Bob and cousin Sean that it seems impossible to express. Although I'm sorry to lose you both I am heartened to know you are all together again. Love you all.

I am deeply sadden by this news. they was the best of neighbors they were our neighbors for over 28 years the finest people you will ever meet always lend a hand and whenever he saw me and my sister walking up the road from school he would give us a ride to our home. when we moved from Boxwood it was never the same without the neighbors on the block. I remembered he was always outdoors especially cutting his grass it seem like he cut his grass every single day and it was the greenest on the street. Both of them always remembered your names even if we didn't see them for a few years they will be deeply missed and may GOD take care of them forever.  R.I.P.

I am filled with sadness.  The things I might say are too personal and private to display here.  These were two of the best people I've ever known.  It was a privilege to have shared time with them.  Rest In Peace Dottie and Bob.

Susan, You and Tommy so unselfishly spent many hours attending to your uncle's needs. He must have been a very good man to have received so much love and devotion from his family. All my sympathies go out to you and your family.

I love my Uncle Bob. When I was a kid I used to look forward anxiously to staying over at Aunt Dot and Uncle Bob's house. 

At one point he had a convertible, and we put the top down and went to a real old fashioned 1950's style drive in where they served you hamburgers and shakes on trays that hung on the car doors. They had nothing like that anywhere that I knew of near Katonah, where I lived. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. The memory of that has stayed with me all the years. As have the memories of his helping me to build models, and giving me advice about all kinds of things.

He was an infantryman in World War 2 and was severely wounded in the Battle of Anzio, which led to his medical discharge (According to Bob, his squad was in a house and a German or Italian bomb hit it. It did not detonate, however. Seconds later, while he and his buddies were admiring the holes the bomb had punched in the floors of the house all the way down to the basement, the house collapsed on them) . 

He worked for Barden's from after World War 2 until he retired. He was a man of many talents: he even drew the blueprints for and constructed the addition on his house at the top of Boxwood Lane all by himself.

I will miss my Uncle Bob until we meet again in the afterlife.
