Richard J Hartling

Richard was born in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, NY. He was a son of the late Emil J. and Norma Major Hartling. He attended New York schools and served with the US Navy from 1960 to 1963.

A thirty year employee with ConEd in New York, he retired in 1999 as a supervisor. A Danbury resident since 1971, Richard was previously of Yonkers, NY.

Besides his devoted wife of 49 years, survivors include his loving daughters: Robin Desruisseaux and her husband, Walt, of Southwick, MA and Jennifer Dube and her husband, Kevin, of North Andover, MA. His adoring grandchildren: Colin, Trevor, Camryn, Makenna and Jessica. His siblings: Janet Morgenstern; James Hartling and his wife, Phyllis; Lorraine Pica; Edward Hartling and his wife, Cindy and Kenneth Hartling and his wife, Pam. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 4pm-7pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Suite 300, 4899 Belfort Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32256.
