Born in Oceanside, NY, Ray is the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Kelly. He graduated from Malverne High School and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Rutgers University and an MBA from the University of New Haven. His career included various corporate accounting positions and, most recently, he was a self-employed real estate appraiser. Ray had a passion for music and sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He cherished time on Cape Cod with his wife. He could often be seen in the neighborhood walking his dog, Casey.
In addition to his loving wife of 39 years, Ray is survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dave and Debbie Solomon, Don and Lisa Glaser and Janice Kelly. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Joan Ferrante, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Donald and Robert, and his sister, Eileen.
Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Wednesday, January 30 from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Road, New Fairfield on Thursday, January 31 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of his family.
