Born on May 31, 1953, Paula grew up in Weston, CT as the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Cade and loving sister to Marjorie (Lawrence) Kravarik, John (Julia) Cade, Virginia Tingets, Joan (Allen) Cossuto and David Cade. As one of 6 children, Paula was resilient, outspoken and confident in her principles. She understood the importance of family and her love for her siblings was evident in both her actions and the stories she shared.
In 1972, at the age of 19, she married Dave and they have been happily married for nearly 50 years. During that time, Paula and Dave lived in Milford and Stratford before building their homes and lives together in Brookfield where they raised their three children; Jason and daughter in law Michelle of Danbury, Matt and daughter in law Kate of Brookfield and Sarah and son in law Chris Charland of Canton, MA. Paula was very proud of her children and passionate in her support of them. She especially loved her five grandchildren Chase, Carly, Jamie, Maggie and Avery. She cherished spending time with them talking about life, various pets and hobbies.
Throughout her life, Paula had careers in banking and relocation, however she was proudest of her home child care business which not only allowed her to stay home with her own young children, but also gave her the ability to share her love of teaching and caretaking with families within the Brookfield community.
Paula treasured time with family and took pride in keeping everyone together - especially during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and beach vacations during the summer. With an adventurous spirit, Paula loved to travel, explore, and meet new people. Her outgoing nature led her to strike up conversations with anyone nearby and her spontaneity led to experiences that both she and her family enjoyed. During her free time, Paula enjoyed line dancing, reading on her porch, and most recently Bocce night with Dave and close friends.
Paula is predeceased by her sisters Marjorie, Virginia and her brother David and will be terribly missed by those she leaves behind.
Family and friends will be welcomed at a memorial gathering at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 11am to 1pm.
Burial will take place with the immediate family at a future date.
