Patricia E. Riccardi, mother of Samone Grixti, Frankie Grixti, and James Riccardi, and beloved wife of David Riccardi, passed away at the age of 61 on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Her life was blessed by God and that light was shared with everyone blessed to know her.
Pat was born in The Bronx on February 26, 1961 to Louise Cuff and Robert Faulhaber and was sister to Bobby, Debbie, and Billy. She grew up in the Country Club section of The Bronx and was a graduate of Herbert H. Lehman High School, graduating a year early. Pat enjoyed having a good time at concerts and loved spending time with her late brother, Billy, picking mussels at the Eastchester Bay. Pat would go on to create many other beautiful memories with her oldest brother, Bobby, attending baseball games together and losing money on penny slots. Being a family-oriented sister, Pat was present for two of the most important moments in her sister, Debbie’s life - the birth of Debbie’s first daughter and grandchild, Elyse and Chase.
Pat started her own family with Frank Grixti, celebrating the birth of their two children Samone and Frankie. They spent many years together on the very same property that she grew up on. Pat loved being a mother and made sure to provide the best for her family.
As many things change in life, Pat met and went on to marry her husband, David Riccardi on October 7, 2000. They were blessed to celebrate 22 years of marriage filled with overwhelming passion and love. Pat and Dave moved to Elmsford in July 2000, where they expanded the family with the birth of their son, James Riccardi. With family placed at the center of her life, Pat made sure to create a beautiful home filled with years of love and memories that will continue to carry forward. Always to be remembered are the family’s times together at Lake Compounce, Hershey Park, going apple picking, having game nights, enjoying family dinners, decorating the house for all of the holidays, and so much more that could never be encompassed. Pat always loved having her family around and looked forward to hosting Thanksgiving every year, her favorite holiday.
Pat found tranquility in her garden, enjoyed singing and dancing to country music, and loved cooking for her family and friends. Pat was known for being an outgoing and a social butterfly. She had a joyous presence, filling a room with love and happiness, always knowing how to have a good time and evoke an energy that warmed those around her bringing a smile to everyone’s faces. She kept many friends close to her throughout her life, none longer than her childhood friend, Gloria, the godmother of Pat’s son Frankie.
In 2016, Pat moved with her family to New Fairfield, CT. Here she found her second home at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield where she made many friends who shared love and commitment to community and God. Even after her cancer diagnosis in 2017, Pat was determined to not let it slow her down and continue to be an active member of her church. When her body could no longer keep up, her church came to her with holiday carolers and home visits.
Part of the legacy that Pat left behind is her strength and will to fight through the most challenging adversities anyone could ever face. Pat’s fight was driven by her love for her family. She is loved by many and will be missed immensely. Although she is now in the presence of God, Pat will always be with us in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00pm on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield, New Fairfield, CT with the Rev. Elizabeth Yoho, Pastor, officiating.
Friends will be received from 4:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
