Nancy A. O'Neil

Survivors include her three children: Kevin O’Neil of Danbury; Dee Annis and her husband, Robert, of Indianapolis, IN; and Sean O’Neil and his wife, Lauren, of Sandy Hook, CT. Her brother: Donald Peavy and his wife, Karen, of Downingtown, PA. Three grandchildren and one niece also survive.

Nancy was born in Brooklyn on June 15, 1943 to the late Roger and Mercedes Whiteway Peavy and grew up in Manhasset, Long Island. She was a 1965 graduate of the College of New Rochelle where she earned her BA in Education.

Nancy taught English as a Second Language in Fairfield before entering the insurance industry. She retired after many years in 2016.

In her later years, Nancy discovered the joys of cruises and traveled to Alaska and the Caribbean multiple times.

Friends will be received from 4pm-7pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A Prayer Service will be conducted in the funeral home at 6:30pm
