Mike was born March 3, 1931 in Danbury to the late Michael J. and Mary (Remenar) Kreho. Mike attended Danbury Schools and worked at the Mallory Hat Factory before he entered the US Army. He was an avid golfer in his younger years and also enjoyed playing on senior teams as he got older.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mike was stationed in Germany and received the Army of Occupation Medal. A longtime employee with Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown, Mike was also actively involved in the union there. A lifetime member of St. Joseph Church in Danbury, Mike served as a Eucharistic Minister and an usher for many years. Mike was a volunteer at Independent Hose Company #4 in Danbury and also a member of the Danbury Post #1042 Catholic War Veterans.
Survivors include his sisters: Ann Gallucci and Betty Tahan, both of Danbury. His special nieces and nephews: Susan Gallucci Bellamy of Danbury; Gary Gallucci and his wife, Maureen, of Arizona; Charles Gallucci and his wife, Mary, of New Fairfield; Patricia Kreho; Nancy Gage and her husband, Ron; Ronald Kreho and his wife, Joann; Lisa Tahan of Danbury; Shelly Tahan Breton and her husband, Chuck, of California; Joseph Tahan and his wife, Susan of North Carolina; Charles Tahan of California; Jane Tilford of Bethel; and Coley Light and his wife, Sharon, of New Jersey; Joe Zelenski and his wife, Mary Beth, of Illinois; Linda Mattingly and her husband, Larry, of Arizona; Michael Zelenski and his wife Diane of Florida. Besides his wife and parents, Mike was predeceased by his late wives Rosemary and Sigrid; his brother Rudy Kreho and his wife, Janet; sister Rose Zelenski and her husband, Joseph; and sister Mary Light and her husband, Coleman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received from 5pm-7pm on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
