Michael J DeGhetto, age 66, of Bethel, Connecticut passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2019, surrounded by family and friends. Michael was born December 7, 1952 in the Bronx to the late Americus and Regina DeGhetto.
Michael is survived by his wife, Laurie, daughter and son-in law, Danielle and David Josefson, daughter and son-in law, Lisa and Eric Blum, grandchildren, Lucas and Jacob Josefson, as well as his sister, Donna, her husband Reginald, and nephew Michael Matthews.
Michael, better known as Pops worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals for the majority of his career. He also worked as an auto mechanic and automotive service writer.
Michael was known for his love of cars, sitting by the water at the beach, or just chillin’ in the driveway in his favorite beach chair.
His greatest accomplishment was raising his 2 daughters and having the honor of walking them both down the aisle. His most recent joy was spending time with his grandsons, who affectionately called him Papa.
Visitation for Michael will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, Connecticut. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St Mary’s Church, 24 Dodgingtown Rd., Bethel, Connecticut.
