Marie A. Hock

Marie was born in Yonkers, NY, a daughter of Joseph A. Ahearn and Ellen McCarthy Ahearn and was predeceased by her three brothers: James, Joseph and John.

She is survived by her loving husband Bela Hock. Her two daughters: Veronica and Kathleen and her sons-in-law: Scott Saunders and Thomas Kennedy. Her two grandchildren: Kathleen and Thomas. Her sister-in-law, Loretta Ahearn and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was born and raised in Yonkers, NY where she attended St. Joseph's Grammar School and Sacred Heart High School. She and her family lived in Mamaroneck, NY before moving to New Fairfield in 1977.

She worked in Danbury and retired from Banta Direct Marketing in 2003. She was a great animal lover, loved celebrating her Irish heritage, dancing, singing, crossword puzzles and reading. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and always remembered with love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 at St. Edward Church, New Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers, NY. Friends will be received from 4pm-8pm on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marie’s memory may be made to The United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, 1825 K St., NW., Washington, DC 2006 or to your local animal shelter.
