Marian F. Lynch, 92, of Rocky Glen Road, Danbury, died Sunday at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Lynch. Mrs. Lynch was born Dec. 3, 1919 in Newark, NJ, a daughter of the late Harry T. and Geraldine Owen Shea. She moved to Danbury 67 years ago from New Jersey. A longtime member of St. Peter Church in Danbury, she was active there in the Ladies Guild and the St. Peter Book Club. Mrs. Lynch loved her neighbors and the community of the Glen Apartments in Danbury.
She was the loving mother of Robert, Michael, Francis, Richard and his wife, Janet, Sean and his wife, Lisa, Geraldine Conklin, Patricia Sherry, Mary Petrrucci and her husband, Anthony, Anna DoVale, Barbara Barabas and her husband, Bernard, and Sue Lynch. Her siblings: Geraldine Jackel and Owen Shea. 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren also survive. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Lynch was predeceased by a daughter, Jean Marie Veness and a son, Brian Lynch, a grandson, Skip Gilbert and her siblings: Eleanor, Jack, Thomas and Harry.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30am at St. Peter Church Danbury with the Rev. Gregg Mecca, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
