Maria Aliete Monteiro

Aliete was born on October 31, 1948 in Vinho, Portugal and immigrated to the United States in 1974. She was a devoted member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Danbury.

Aliete also leaves behind her beloved daughters Sandra and Susana Monteiro. She is also survived by her brother Jorge Domingos (Amelia) of Danbury, her sisters Ana Maria deCampos (Joao), Maria Emilia Carvalho (Antonio) of Portugal, Maria Helena Teixeira (Benjamin) of Portugal and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Aliete, was predeceased by her sisters Maria da Conceicao Domingos Mendes, Maria Jose Almeida and her brother Joaquim Rogeira. She will be deeply missed by all of us as well as her dogs, Emma, Joey and Buddy whom brought her lots of joy.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury, CT on Saturday November 21, 2015 at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, November 20, at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT.
