Marco was born in Sobralia, Minas Gerais to the late Jose Pereira Da Silva and Lourdes Etelvina Da Silva. He moved to the United States settling in Bethel, CT where he met his wife and raised his two sons, Michael Da Silva and Jonathon Da Silva.
Marco was a volunteer firefighter in Danbury, CT where he received an award for fireman of the year. He also started his 30-year career at Stew Leonard’s, eventually becoming the assistant manager in the meat department. He was a talented cook and entered competitions where he showcased his talents by way of his homemade hot sauce. He loved the outdoors and could often be found in yard work or sightseeing with his wife and children.
Marco was predeceased by his father Jose, his mother Lourdes, and his brother Carlitos Da Silva.
In addition to his wife of 24 years, he is survived by his sons: Michael and Jonathon; his brothers: Orides, Roberto, Laercio, Neri, Marcio. and multiple nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
A Prayer Service will be conducted in the funeral home at 7:30pm on Tuesday.
