Mrs. Linda Joan Ellenberg (née Paliwoda) passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, in Danbury, Connecticut. She was born on December 16, 1948, in the Bronx, New York, to her loving parents, Mary and Alexander Paliwoda.
Linda built a fulfilling career that spanned several decades. She began working in Manhattan before transitioning to Brewster, New York. She dedicated many years to the New York Gas & Electric Company before shifting her focus to the healthcare field, where she worked in chiropractic offices for 30 years, handling a variety of tasks with dedication and care.
Beyond her professional life, Linda found immense joy in traveling with her beloved husband of 55 years, Klaus Dieter Ellenberg. Together, they explored Europe, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and numerous destinations across the United States. She had a passion for skiing and bike riding and loved dancing the night away. In recent years, she enjoyed playing Canasta, Rummikub, Mahjong, and other games with dear friends and also enjoyed activities and trips through the New Fairfield Senior Center.
Above all else, Linda cherished time spent with her family. She is survived by her devoted husband Klaus; her children Christopher and his wife Cathy, and Michael and his wife Mellissa; her six grandchildren —Sadie, Ashley, Hannah, twins Jack and Maxwell, and Alexander. Recently blessed with a great-grandchild named Noah, Linda embraced every moment with her growing family. She also leaves behind her siblings Arlene Funicello, Ann Garay, Laura Garcia, Lorraine Anderson, and Alan Paliwoda. Her warmth extended beyond family to many dear friends whom she held close to her heart.
She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Alexander Paliwoda.
A memorial visitation will be held on March 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT, with a prayer service to take place at 1:00PM.

Linda’s love for life and those around her will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
