Lauren was born on October 25, 1991 in Rochester Hills, Michigan and spent most of her life making close friends and enjoying her family in Redding and Danbury, CT. Lauren was an outstanding student athlete at Wooster School in Danbury, graduated from Joel Barlow in Redding, and attended the highly competitive nursing program at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury.
Lauren’s fun-loving approach to life, her delightful sense of humor and her dedication and loyalty to the people around her created a long-lasting and loving group of friends who surrounded her in her final days. While stories of Lauren’s adventures with her friends will be passed on for years, nothing compared to her love, caring and devotion as a Mother to her daughter Adrianna. From the time of Adrianna’s birth, she was the recipient of Lauren’s adoring motherhood, a discovered gift that knew no bounds. Lauren’s time with Adrianna, although compressed, spanned from the volleyball court, to the horseback riding arena, to outdoor adventures, to her academic pursuits, to famous shopping excursions, and to their mutual love of all animals.
In addition to her daughter Adrianna, Lauren leaves behind two adoring brothers, Jonathon Dibble and Jacob Smith, both of New York City, and her parents Kolleen Dibble-Smith (Danbury), Stephen Smith (New Fairfield) and Larry Dibble (Dallas). Lauren’s sizable list of aunts, uncles and cousins are already missing her gag gifts and stories around the holidays, as is her grandmother, Patricia Viola of Wells, NY.
Funeral Services will take place at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street in Danbury at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 12. Lauren’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 11 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Lauren’s cousins have set up a fund entitled “Support Adrianna’s Future in Loving Memory of Lauren Dibble” and donations are welcome in GoFundMe at the following link:
