Karl P. Freundt Sr.

Karl is survived by his sister Gabrielle Freundt and his 4 children, Karl Peter Freundt Jr., Kenneth Freundt, Eric Freundt, Emily Freundt as well as his 2 grandchildren Shawn Freundt, Isabella Freundt and great granddaughter Gemma Freundt.

Karl was born on September 24th, 1944, in Tailfinger, Germany and came to the United States with his mother and father, Erna Freundt and Wolfgang Freundt in 1956. Karl had served in the Army beginning in 1967, where he was stationed in Vietnam. He later received an honorable discharge in 1971. Afterwards, Karl began his career with the city of Danbury as a fireman in 1971 and retired in 2006. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family as well as helping out at his family business in Danbury.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 31st, 2017 from 1 pm – 3pm at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A Prayer Service will be conducted at 3pm on Sunday in the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
