Chiropractor, Educator, Mentor, and Beloved Family Man
Dr. Julius L. Sanna, a pioneering chiropractor, visionary educator, and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025. He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Naomi, after a life rich with love, purpose, and a profound dedication to healing and family.
Dr. Sanna was the beloved father of his son, Mark Sanna, DC, and his husband, Ronald Rosen; Susan and her husband, Andrew DeRiso; and Jennifer and her husband, Christopher Graham. He was also the cherished grandfather of: Jackson and Henry Graham; Abbie and her husband, John Paul Sakakini; and Adam DeRiso and his wife, Madison.
A deeply respected leader in the chiropractic profession, Dr. Sanna earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry, later becoming a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. His remarkable career spanned more than forty years and was marked by a tireless commitment to improving the lives of his patients and advancing the art and science of chiropractic.
Dr. Sanna was one of the original Knights of the Chiropractic Round Table, where his leadership, mentorship, and generosity helped shape the future of the profession. He served as Vice President of the Connecticut Chiropractic Association and was widely known for his engaging lectures, deep clinical knowledge, and compassionate care.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Julius was a man of joy, integrity, and community. Whether on the golf course at Ridgewood Country Club in Connecticut, enjoying the sunshine at Pelican Point in Florida, or surrounded by loved ones at family gatherings, he exuded warmth, humor, and a quiet wisdom that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Dr. Julius Sanna’s legacy is one of healing, learning, laughter, and love. His family, friends, and the broader chiropractic community mourn his passing, celebrate his remarkable life, and carry forward his enduring spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at St. Joseph Church, 1 Obtuse Hill Rd.,Brookfield, CT.
Interment will follow in the mausoleum at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext., Danbury, CT
