Oh My, what a sad day indeed. I knew the Sannas from the Ridgewood Country Club, then later became a patient at the Chiropractor office. Doc Sanna always took great care of me. He was pleasant, kind and just an all-around nice man. I know he and Naomi are together today. I truly loved Doc & Naomi.

Thank you all for celebrating the life of my father, Dr. Julius L. Sanna. It’s impossible to fully capture his essence—his wisdom, humor, and integrity—but I’ll do my best to honor him.

My father gave me the greatest gift: tall shoulders to stand on. He showed me the chiropractic profession and made it accessible, laying a foundation and inviting me to be part of his legacy. His example provided a path, and his unwavering support gave me the courage to forge my own. Even when I made mistakes—like crashing more than a few of his cars—he never stopped showing up for me with love and understanding.

Our family shared unforgettable moments filled with laughter, love, and mischief. His legacy lives on in my sisters, Susan and Jennifer, their families, our children, and future generations. He taught us the value of togetherness and discovery. Some of my fondest memories are with him and the Chiropractic Knights of the Round Table—a group that explored life’s mysteries with wisdom, brotherhood, and laughter. Around those tables, he was our North Star.

To everyone who has reached out during this time of loss, thank you. Your love honors a man who was a pioneer—a healer, a leader, and a friend. He lived with joy, served faithfully, and loved deeply. Whether flipping pancakes at community events or advocating for chiropractic insurance equality in Connecticut, he embodied service.

He could belt out Sinatra tunes and was a fancy dancer, but he was also an extraordinary chiropractor whose hands restored lives and whose words restored hope. His motto was “Loving service is my first technique,” and he lived by it.

Dad, thank you for supporting me when I chose consulting over clinical practice. You never showed disappointment—only pride. I’ll miss your calls, pep talks, and “Atta boy” encouragements. But your voice stays with me every day.

You were the best father in the world. I love you, I miss you, and I will carry your light always. --Mark

Jules, we will miss you so very much.  You provided our family gatherings with countless positive prayers and  beautiful insights on life . Never had we heard an unkind word from you.....just kindness and thoughtfulness.  What a beautiful legacy you have left behind!  Ron always enjoyed your sense of humor, and great conversations and amazing smile...and you thanked me many many times for raising such an incredible son.  Rest in peace and love.

Thank you—for everything you were, for all that you gave, and most of all, for the endless love you poured into our lives. No one worked harder, cared deeper, or gave more of themselves than you did. Your tireless devotion to your patients changed lives, but what stood out even more was the unwavering presence you had at home. You gave your all—to your work, to your family, to everyone lucky enough to know you—and somehow, you made it all look effortless.
You were there for so many  moments—ballet recitals, cheer competitions, Pop Warner games and volleyball matches . No matter how tired you were, there you were in the stands, cheering louder than anyone else. I can still hear your voice, feel your pride. I will carry those memories forever—the laughter we shared, the inside jokes that made Mom shake her head, your goofy dance moves, your delight in everything silly. You were my favorite partner in crime, especially during our epic Black Friday coupon adventures. And your love for golf, and all things Sardinian, will be etched in our hearts forever.
But it wasn’t just the joyful moments that defined you. You were there during the hard ones too—the times when your steady voice and guiding hand meant everything. We pushed boundaries, we tested your patience (often), but your “famous lectures” somehow always grounded us. They weren’t just words; they were lessons that shaped who we became.
These last five years were filled with their own battles, and I feel so deeply honored to have been by your side through them. Even as your body grew tired, your spirit never dimmed. You still sparkled. You still laughed. You still loved. I’ll always treasure our daily visits, our Sinatra sing-alongs, the quiet moments and the silly ones too. And oh, how I’ll long to hear you say once more, “There’s my sweetheart.”
You were, and always will be, my hero. I love you beyond words.

Julie and Naomi were very favorite friends for many years.  We would love going out to dinner when they were in Sarasota.
There are no words to express how sincere my sympathy is.
I have thought of Julie for some time now and kept him and Naomi in  my daily prayers.  God love both of them.

My Dad was always there for me, loved me unconditionally, supported me, showed tremendous pride in me, and never once asked for anything in return. Every time I saw him, he would immediately ask... “Is there anything I can help you with, Jen?” This continued even as his Alzheimer’s advanced. To know my dad was to love him… laugh out loud funny, a great listener, contagious on the dance floor, always willing to help, a true feeler & healer. Dad always said there’s two types of people in this world: givers & takers. He set the bar high as one of the best givers I’ve ever known. He’s been a steady source of calm and comfort my whole life, and it’s brought me such joy for my boys to experience those same wonderful qualities in him. Because he not only excelled as a father, but also as a grandfather too. Sunday night, Dad moved on from this world to a better place. I imagine Mom greeted him with a big hug and said, “What took you so long, Jules?” Please join me in celebrating this remarkable human and the tremendous gift he was to me and this world.

To the Sanna Family,  My heartfelt sympathy goes out to each of you on the passing of your dad.  I know how much he and your mom, Naomi, loved their families and grandchildren so very much.  I was so happy to know them from both Brookfield & Venice.  I was blessed!  Dad is now reunited in heaven with your mom, and I know that she was definitely waiting for him.  Heaven rejoices at their reunion with Our Lord.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family.  Dr. Sanna took care of me and my mother for many, many years in Connecticut.  After I moved to South Carolina in 1993, I tried to find a chiropractor as close to Dr. Sanna as possible.  It took until last year to find one with the expertise, skills and compassion and caring as Dr. Sanna.  Dr. Sanna was not only a great doctor but a great human being.  May he forever rest in peace.

Julie, my friend, so many fond experiences within our golf games, where laughter was more important than getting the ball into the hole.  Often, my less than smooth swings drove me to the Sanna Professional Building on Osborne Street, where you effectively took care of my aches and pains, and those of thousands of others.  How's this for a final joke, Julie, rather unbelievable, at that!  Just this morning, before I learned of your passing, after not really thinking of you for a few years, I had a personal problem, which you and I shared, and for which you taught me the solution.  Yup, hemorrhoids, and, thankfully, remembered how you swore on the use of suppositories.   Thanks to my dear friend today, now feeling comfortable, and decidedly real sad at the same time.  Mark, Susan, and Jennifer, know that your father was a much loved Pip!
