Judy was born on June, 27th, 1933 to the late Murray and Helen Provancher and raised in Rockford, IL. After 2 years at Lake Forest College, she took the adventurous step of moving to New York City. There she worked as an airline ticket agent and lived in the London Terrace apartments in Chelsea.
A devoted wife and mother, Judy was married to her husband, the late Richard Wilson, for 59 years. They met in New York City and, after a courtship that included late nights in the City’s best jazz clubs, wed in 1957 and moved to Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey to raise a family.

Judy was a dedicated homemaker and baked deserts for the family business, the historic Ho-Ho-Kus Inn restaurant. She also served as weekend hostess and occasional singer in the Inn’s Tap Room, where she could often be heard singing her favorite song, My Funny Valentine.
Judy loved travel, including European adventures, cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean and trips with friends throughout the United States. She will long be remembered for her kind and gracious manner, her sharp sense of humor and her love of music.
Judy is survived by her sons, Michael and his wife Gina of Ridgefield, CT, Daniel of San Francisco, CA and David of Darien, CT, her sister Jane Herbert and her husband Gary Herbert of State College, PA and her grandchildren Dana Wilson and her wife Sharon Winsmith of New York, Scott Wilson of Brisbane, Australia and Cole Wilson of New Canaan, CT.
The family will honor Judy with a private service.
