Judy was born in Norwalk, CT, a daughter of the late Herbert and Mae (DeWitt) Bloom. She was a 1961 graduate of Danbury High School. She worked as a front end manager at Grand Union/Shaws for over 45 years.
Judy loved to travel. Her bags were always ready to go on a trip near or far. Her love for the Amish brought her to Pennsylvania and Ohio often. She enjoyed theater and dinner shows. She enjoyed games such as Canasta, Set Back, Skip-Bo and Rummikub. She would be the first in line at amusement parks to ride the ferris wheel or merry-go round. She loved her hot air balloon rides. Judy was Elvis Presley’s biggest fan. Her love for ice cream has us all wondering how she remained so small. And through it all her hair was impeccable because she never missed her Friday hair appointment.
Judy was a ray of sunshine to all. She was extremely social and loved to be around friends and family. She had a heart of gold. She never thought of herself, but only of others. She put a smile on anyone around her with her cheerful personality. She was the best mother ever. She will be missed, but her memory will never be forgotten.
Judy was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Kubisek; her parents, Herbert and Mae Bloom; her sisters: Sally (Buddy) Devine and June (Gary) Blazek; her brothers: Richard Bloom and David Bloom; brothers-in-law: Bernie (Barbara) Kubisek, Dennis Kubisek, Thomas Kubisek and John McLaughlin.
She is survived by her children: Brian Kubisek of Bridgewater and Lynn Kubisek (Ted Heim) of Bridgewater; her sister, Sandra (Richard) Marinaro; her brothers: Dennis (Barbara) Bloom, Earl (Melinda) Bloom and Brian (Donna) Bloom; sisters-in-law: Kathy Bloom, Loretta McLaughlin, Janet (Bill Reynolds); and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 and from 10:00am - 11:00am on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the funeral home.
