Joe was born on November 3rd, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Mary Queen of Heaven school, as well as was an altar boy at Mary Queen of Heaven. His wife, Kathy, was the love of his life, and she is truly heartbroken with her other half being gone. He loved all sports, but the Brooklyn Dodgers (“Da Bums”) and Jackie Robinson held a special place in his heart.
He loved going to the beach- he would pack his kids, nieces, nephews, and neighborhood kids into the car and head to Rockaway Beach, where he instilled a love of the ocean into his kids.
He coached many teams throughout the years- Hurricane Football in Brooklyn, youth basketball, softball, and baseball in Bethel, Connecticut.
He graduated from St. John’s University. He worked for Aetna Life and Casualty for 27 years.
He is the epitome of a life well-lived. The influence he had on his kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, neighborhood kids and kids he coached will continue to live on through many generations.
