Joseph A. Forlastro

Joseph A Forlastro age 78, of East Windsor passed away on April 11, 2024. He was born on October 16, 1945, in Danbury, the son of the late Joseph and Christine (Grant) Forlastro. Joe graduated from Central Catholic High School in Norwalk.

As a long-time resident of Danbury, he worked for many years as a firefighter for the Danbury Fire Dept. In his youth, he was a member of the Newman’s Dancing School and performed in the local minstrel shows. Joe was a thoughtful and kind soul who loved his family.

Joseph is predeceased by his brother Francis Reynolds and his sister Josephine Forlastro. Joseph leaves behind his son Joseph Forlastro and granddaughter Deanna. Joe is also survived by his siblings Patricia Ludwig, Joan Deans, Richard Forlastro, Robert Forlastro (Bonnie), Mary Forlastro, Josylda Kopke, Marcella Tigrett, Judy Forlastro-State, Christine Garrison (Walter), Lisa Mimoso, sister-in law Patricia Reynolds and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on April 16th in the Chapel at St. Peter’s Cemetery with the Reverend Tim of St Edwards officiating. Arrangements are by Green Funeral Home.
