Jorge was born in Mozambique and moved to Vila Franca Da Serra, Gouveia, Portugal at the age of 9. He was the son of the late Delfim and Numidia Figueiredo.
Jorge and his wife Ana immigrated to Danbury in the late 80s for more privileges and to begin creating their family. He worked for many years in asphalt paving. Prior to becoming ill, Jorge worked for Carroll Construction which he enjoyed very much. Jorge loved spending time with his family and more specifically his granddaughters. He was an avid and devoted soccer fan especially to his team Benfica.
Jorge is survived by his wife Ana Figueiredo, children Rueben Figueiredo and Tania Peralta, his daughter- in-law Cecilia Figueiredo, son-in-law Luis Peralta and granddaughters Mila Peralta and Luna Figueiredo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. Jorge was predeceased by his brother Jose Figueiredo and sadly leaves behind his brother Vitor Figueiredo.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 16, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury, CT. Burial will take place following the funeral mass at Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
