He married Beverly Rose of Pittsfield, MA on August 7, 1950. They lived in Lanesborough and Pittsfield where he worked in the Naval Ordnance division of GE for several years. In 1970, the family moved to Fairfield County, Connecticut where he lived until his death.
John was an avid skier, boater, motorcyclist, and pilot. He is survived by his wife Beverly, three children: John N. Haskins (Donna) of Souderton, PA, Judy Conde (Tony) of Bethel, CT, and James Haskins (Laurie) of Brookfield, CT; three grandchildren: Jenny Lynch (Jack) of Westbrook, ME, Joseph Haskins of Brookfield, CT, and Kathryn Paparella (Alex) of Wyncote, PA.
