John was born in Danbury, son of the late Geza and Mary Ellen Brosz. He attended Danbury schools and was co-owner of the former Ray-Jack coffee Shop in Danbury. He served in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War and went on to work as an automotive machinist at the former Harry Harris Company, before joining the maintenance department at Photronic Inc. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church.
In addition to his wife Ethel, he is survived by his son John G. Brosz, Jr., and wife Randylynn, of Danbury, three grandchildren: Christopher and Heather Brosz of Danbury and Corey Brosz of New Milford, his sister Marjorie Holick of Danbury and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy McCarthy.
Funeral services will be private. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 405 Main St., Danbury, CT 06810.
