Grace Julia McGrath

Mrs. McGrath was born in New York City on July 15, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Al and Lillian Gummel of Northport, Long Island.

A resident of Ridgefield for the past 49 years, she was a member of Founders Hall and an avid gardener.

She is survived by four sons, Arthur McGrath of Marlborough, NH, Michael (Theresa) McGrath of Hiram, GA, David McGrath of Black Mountain, NC, Tim (Ellen) McGrath of Park Ridge NJ, a daughter, Patricia McGrath of Hiram, GA; twelve grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Stephen, Chris, Scott, Jon, Colin, Brian, Kelley, Alex, Wendy and Eliott, three great grandchildren, Skyler, Clark and Taylor Ray, and two sisters, Pat Menke of Melbourne Beach, FL, and Joan Robinson of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Edward Hand of Las Vegas, NV.

The family will receive friends at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury Ct, on Saturday, June 9th at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
