Frank Dennis Jasensky, 61, passed away at home on December 21, 2016 after a long battle with ALS. His wife of 35 years, Elyse, was by his side.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his mother, Anna Moro Jasensky, as well as three children and a son-in-law: Jenna Jasensky and her husband Ian Miller, Adam Jasensky, and Bennett Jasensky. He also has 2 brothers, Robert Jasensky and John Jasensky. He was devoted to all of these family members and was a loyal friend as well.
Frank was born in Port Chester, NY and spent his entire childhood there. He and his wife met in junior high and were the best of friends for many years before becoming a couple. Having attended The School of Visual Arts in NYC, Frank worked for a top-rated photographer for several years before developing an interest in becoming an electrician.
After earning his electrical license, he began working as an electrical assistant for Olin Corporation in Stamford. Within a few short years he was promoted several times, ultimately landing as the Chief Engineer. He continued in this position after moving to GE Capital where he worked until June 2015.
Frank was immensely talented. He had an innate sense of how things worked and could fix just about anything. He renovated almost every room in his house and was always generous with his skill – his family and friends were always able to call on him for help.
Frank also volunteered at several theater groups and was known to many as “Father Goose” because of his involvement with Fairy Tale Theater, a local children’s theater troupe.
Friends are invited to join the family to pay their respects from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday, December 27 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT, immediately followed by a short service to which all are invited.
Contributions in Frank’s memory can be made to ALS Association, Connecticut Chapter, 4 Oxford Road, Unit E-4, Milford, CT 06460.
