A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Eileen was born on July 12, 1952 to Rita Jean and Anthony Stankiewicz. She was a lifelong Danbury resident and graduated from Danbury High School, later earning her bachelor's and master's degree from Western Connecticut State University.
Eileen married her high school sweetheart, Emil (Butch) Coladarci, and spent 49 wonderful years with him. They have two sons and one daughter-in-law, Chris, Richie and Jenna, respectively. She has one grandson, Tristan, and would light up a room when talking about him.
Eileen's career spanned several fields, including health education, government affairs, public relations, and alumni relations. She was also a Justice of the Peace, beautifully officiating hundreds of marriages around the State of Connecticut.
Beyond her professional roles, Eileen was ardently active in local politics having spent nine years on the Common Council, two of which as the Legislative Leader. She also served on the Democratic Town Committee.
Eileen's benevolence extended to the community as she graciously gave her time and talents to several organizations. She served as chair and fundraising chair of Danbury Youth Services; past president, treasurer and publicity chair for Stanley L. Richter Association for the Arts; and president, vice president and board member of Friends of Richter.
Eileen is survived by her husband, sons, grandson and mother, as well as her siblings and their spouses: Kathleen and Joseph Glick, Michael and Deborah Stankiewicz, and Anthony Stankiewicz.
She was predeceased by her father, Anthony Stankiewicz, and her sisters Rita Meredith and Sharon Groves.
Eileen was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church.
There will be a Memorial Gathering for Eileen on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
