

Dorothy “Dottie” A. McNally, 70, of Danbury, died Sunday at Pope John Paul II Center for Health Care after an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Terence E. McNally. Dottie was born in Jersey City, NJ on June 28, 1941, a daughter of the late George Stone and Edith Craig Stone. An area resident since 1976, Dottie lived in Candlewood Shores in Brookfield before moving to Danbury in 1988. A longtime employee with the Danbury Parking Authority as a Parking Enforcement Officer, she retired in 2005. Dottie enjoyed spending time in Locust Lake Village in the Poconos. She was a member of St. Peter Church in Danbury and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children: Joseph; Kevin and his wife, Tricia; Stephen and his wife Cindy; Brian and his wife Suzanne; Michael and his wife, Doreen; Kathleen Bedell and her husband Brian. 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30am at St. Peter Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday from 5pm to 8pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Contributions in Dottie’s memory may be to benefit the Department of Oncology to The Danbury Hospital Development Fund, 24 Hospital Ave., Danbury. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of floor 2 South at Pope John Paul II Center for Health Care for the wonderful care Dottie received while there.
