Donna Marie Scalzo

Donna was a born October 7, 1930 in Danbury, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Michelina (Troccola) Gioia. A lifelong resident, she was a graduate of Danbury High School, and was a longtime parishioner of Saint Peter Church. Donna also did volunteer work with a number of local organizations. She enjoyed spending special times with her family, and lunch dates with her girlfriends.

Donna is survived by her two children: Karen A. Casso and her husband Gary of Brookfield, and Michael A. Scalzo and his wife Rosa of Danbury, four grandchildren: Kelli Guido and her husband Michael, Kerri Casso, William Scalzo, and Grace Scalzo, three great grandchildren: Michael, Ryan, and Dominic Guido, and several nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her four siblings, and two nieces.

There are no calling hours. Services and entombment in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury will be private and at the convenience of the family.
