A lifelong Danbury resident, Donald attended local schools and was a US Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He was employed as a chief lineman with the Connecticut Light and Power Company, retiring after 42 years of service. He was a member of both the American Legion Post 60, Danbury and the Catholic War Veterans, Danbury.
Donald is survived by his two sons: Gary Grandieri and Ronald Grandieri, both of Danbury, one brother: Modesto Grandieri of Stratford, 4 grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
