Dennis P. Dadarria, 68, of New Fairfield, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at Danbury Hospital. Born Jan. 9, 1947 in Mount Vernon, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph Dadarria and Adelaide (Schultz) Dadarria.
Dennis was the beloved husband of Christine (Forlastro) Dadarria of 27 years, father of Jason Dadarria of Long Island, NY, stepfather of Jennifer Liotta of Waterbury, CT, and brother of Robert Dadarria of Mount Vernon, NY. Dennis is also survived by his four adoring grandchildren Avery Liotta-Henderson, Ashlynn Dadarria, Kyra Liotta-Baptiste, and Jamheir Dozier who will all miss their “Pop” very much. In addition, Dennis will be greatly missed by numerous brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Dennis was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School. Upon graduation, he volunteered his time to the Air Force where he was stationed in Taiwan. After his service to his country, he attended Middle Tennessee State University. Dennis had an extended career; he was a Pilot, Air Traffic Controller, and completed his career at Goodrich Corporation. During his career at Goodrich, he was immensely proud to have worked on the Hubble Space Telescope, where he received a variety of awards for his contributions and dedication to various programs within the company. Dennis retired in 2015 after 25 years with the company.
Dennis had a caring and wonderful sense of humor, and could fill any room with laughter. All who knew him will truly miss him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Friends will be received from 5pm-8pm an Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
