David John Griffin

David was born December 20, 1960 in Ridgefield, NJ.

At age 17 David entered the United States Air Force to serve his family and country. After his service ended, he became a Brookfield police officer and achieved the rank of Sargeant before leaving to start his own business in Manhattan NY as security for New York City. He then worked for multiple hotels in Manhattan as head of security. There he trained security officers for terrorist attacks, and security to guard famous people.

David is survived by his wife Robin Griffin, and 3 sons, Shaun Griffin, Ryan Griffin, and David Griffin Jr., his brother Tommy Griffin, sister Debbie Schmid, sister in-laws, Kim Griffin, and Tina Griffin, and many nieces and nephews.

David was predeceased by his parents Edward J. and Margaret A. (Burke) Griffin, and his brothers Eddie Griffin and John Griffin.

A graveside service with military honors will take place for David at the CT State Veteran’s Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT on Thursday April 17th at 1:00pm.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00pm at the Living Stones Community Church, 94 Railroad Street, New Milford, CT in loving memory of David Griffin.
