Christina Olivia Shareef, age 72, of White Plains, New York went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Christina was born November 30,1945, in New York City and was the daughter of the late Francis and Beryl (Haynes) Minor. Christina received her Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees, she was most recently an Administrator at the White Plains Urban League, Director of the Wyandanch Ambulance Corp., and a member of Times Square Church in Manhattan, NYC.
She is survived by her children Dr. Naeemah Ruffin, Natalie Allen, Iman Shareef, Isaac Shareef, two grandsons Emmanuel Shareef and Elijah Shareef, and is also survived by her sister Barbara Minor, two nieces Lydia Minor and Lisa Minor, her grand niece Lorial Minor, and her son-in law Charles Ruffin.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 18, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Green Funeral Home located at 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM and a burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery located at 20 Ellsworth Ave., Danbury CT.
