Barry R. Simmons

Barry was born at Saint Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport CT. He graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury CT as an Electrician. He carried his trade to Arizona ,where he spent the last 35 yrs.

Besides his parents, Barry was predeceased by his brothers: Guy and Bradley.

Surviving are his sister, Robin von Reyn; brothers: Newell Simmons Jr; and Allen Simmons and wife, Pat. His nephews: Brett von Reyn and wife, Kate; Drew von Reyn; Jason von Reyn; Matt Simmons and wife, Jaime; Patrick Simmons and Debbie; Corey Simmons and wife, Susan; Keith Simmons and wife, Heather; Wendy Hurlburt and her husband, Ed.

Barry always had a positive attitude on Life. He always said "Be positive not negative"! "Life is Good, ya know"! Then he would say " Yippie yi yo kayah, as they say in the Southwest"!

Barry was the most amazing musical whistler you've ever heard. It was like his instrument that he played; which he inherited from our father! He was always a phone call away and now he is watching over us! We will miss you Barry!

A Graveside Service for Barry will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Cemetery, 119 Junction Road, Brookfield, CT. with the Rev. Samuel V. Scott, officiating.
